Privacy Policy for n8n Connections

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how n8n Connections (hereinafter referred to as “the Application”), an automation setup managed by Logicweave using the n8n.io platform, handles information when interacting with Google services. The Application is used for work automation purposes within Logicweave.

This Privacy Policy is intended to inform Logicweave, as the user and owner of the Google Account connected to the Application, about how data accessed from its Google Account via Google APIs (such as Google Gmail API, Google Drive API, Google Sheets API, Google Docs API, and any other Google APIs utilized) is processed and managed by the automation workflows created and run within n8n.

2. Data We Access and How It’s Used

The Application, through n8n workflows designed and initiated by Logicweave, accesses Logicweave’s Google Account data based solely on the permissions (OAuth scopes) explicitly granted when connecting its Google Account to n8n credentials configured for the Application.

The types of data accessed and their purposes include, but are not limited to:

  • Google Drive API: To access and retrieve new files from Google Drive that meet specific conditions for further processing, such as extracting content to build a knowledgebase for Logicweave.
  • Google Sheets API: To log file details and metadata into Google Sheets, and to read rows from spreadsheets to analyze data for workflow triggers or decisions relevant to Logicweave’s operations.
  • Google Docs API: To retrieve and analyze information from Google Docs, such as meeting notes, as part of Logicweave’s automated processes.
  • Google Gmail API: To send email notifications to Logicweave regarding workflow status (e.g., errors or updates), retrieve specific emails for processing according to workflow criteria, and send emails on behalf of Logicweave as part of defined automations.

Purpose of Data Use: The data accessed from Logicweave’s Google Account is used exclusively to execute the automation workflows configured within n8n for n8n Connections. The Application does not use this data for any purpose other than those defined by Logicweave’s n8n workflows to support its internal operations.

The Application’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is not used to develop, improve, or train a generalized AI and/or ML model.

3. Data Sharing

Data accessed from Logicweave’s Google Account by the Application (via n8n) is not shared with any third parties, unless:

  • An n8n workflow designed by Logicweave explicitly instructs the Application to share specific data with another service or individual as part of that workflow’s defined function (e.g., sending an email to an external contact).
  • Required by law or to comply with a legal process.

Logicweave does not sell, rent, or trade any data accessed from its Google Account via this Application.

4. Data Security

Logicweave takes reasonable measures to protect the information accessed through its Google Account. Access to Google Account data is secured using Google’s OAuth 2.0 protocol. Logicweave is responsible for maintaining the security of its Google Account credentials and its n8n instance credentials.

Data processed by n8n workflows is typically transient or stored within Logicweave’s own connected services (like its Google Drive or Google Sheets) as per its workflow design.

5. Data Retention

The Application, through n8n, primarily processes data in real-time as part of automation workflows. Data is not stored by the Application itself beyond what is necessary for the execution of these workflows or as configured by Logicweave to be stored in its connected services (e.g., Google Drive, Google Sheets).

Any data stored within Logicweave’s Google services remains subject to its Google Account’s terms and storage policies.

6. Your Rights and Choices (Revoking Access)

Logicweave has full control over the Application’s access to its Google Account data. It can revoke the permissions granted to n8n Connections at any time by visiting its Google Account settings page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Revoking access will prevent the Application from accessing Logicweave’s Google Account data for future workflow executions. Previously executed workflows may have already processed data according to their design.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify Logicweave of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date. Logicweave is advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
